We are re-imagining sharing on the internet — starting right at the source of your lived experience: your camera roll. The iPhone put the most advanced cameras we’ve ever had access to in all of our pockets. That didn’t turn us all into photographers but self-documenters. Today, the spaces in which those photos can be shared with others are continuing to shrink, while the number of photos we take has never been higher.
We are building Beam to unlock those untold stories in your camera roll; and to create a space for self-expression that celebrates your taste, POV, and your lived experience.
Our product is currently in Beta with a target launch later this summer.

We are a lean team working out of NYC. We are looking for folks that are either based in NYC or open to relocating. We value an in-person environment that helps us collaborate effectively and build culture and we aim to work out of our office in Chelsea 4-6 days a week.
We have raised $5.2m to date and are backed by world class investors like Neo and are advised by some of the best social consumer founders in the game including Dave Schatz (Co-founder of Gas app)
The reality of working at a company this early is that “role” is a loosely defined term that might just identify what you specialize in.
Every member of the team is granted a seat at the table — with enormous agency over how we build our product, go to market, and build our company culture. As such we value highly opinionated individuals with deep conviction in their product taste and their vision for how people should interact on the internet.
We are looking for a product designer that is proficient in all steps of the product lifecycle from discovery → concepting → implementation.
You will be responsible prototyping and designing 0 to 1 features and iterating on existing workflows in our mobile and web application
Very little of the work to be done is assigned top-down through tickets. Much of the work to be done is tackling vague but ambitious problems end to end.
We deeply value an in person experience — our company moves closer to a creative agency than a traditional software firm. That means decisions are made quickly and we create lots of space for wide-ranging, divergent exploration. All of which is nearly impossible to achieve when some or all parts of our team are remote.
