As a Short-Form Video Editor & Producer for BEAM, you will create and deploy short-form video content across multiple creators and formats within our owned channels. You will develop platform-native videos for TikTok and Instagram Reels — including cut-downs, lifestyle content, original campaign shoots and trend-driven pieces. You will work closely with our founder and CEO, creator talent, and the social marketing team to reflect BEAM’s distinct audience and aesthetic.
What You'll Do:
- Develop and produce engaging short-form video content (15 sec–3 min) for all the accounts we run — including platform-native TikToks, Reels, cut-downs of longer content, caption/text overlays, and platform-specific variants
- Collaborate with founder and internal marketing team to identify compelling moments and story angles that translate into scroll-stopping short-form video; craft the storytelling arc and hook for each piece
- Shoot, edit, and finish videos end-to-end — handling pacing, captions, on-screen text and graphics, and thumbnails.
- Optimize content for platform performance (length, format, captioning, hashtags, hooks, CTAs) and stay current with TikTok and Reels algorithm changes and emerging formats
- Track performance metrics (views, watch time, reach, engagement, follower growth, click-throughs) and feed insights back into creative strategy
- Maintain an archive of assets, templates, and b-roll, and iterate efficiency in production workflows (templates, automation, batching)
What You'll Bring:
- Proven experience creating short-form video content (15 sec–3 min) for media brands, creators, or yourself on TikTok and Instagram Reels
- Excellent storytelling instincts; knowing which moments and hooks will stop the scroll, evoke emotion or insight, and prompt engagement or action within the first 3 seconds
- Strong understanding of platform nuances across platforms and stay up-to-date on trends, sounds, emerging formats, and algorithm behavior
- Demonstrated ability to adapt creative approach/tone to different brand personalities and audiences (for example, a tech-business brand vs. a culture-comedy brand)
- Strong skills in short-form video editing tools (preferably CapCut and Premiere) and comfort with static image design (Figma, Illustrator, Canva)
- Comfort with platform-native editing conventions — jump cuts, text-on-screen, trending audio, captions, and vertical 9:16 composition
- Ability to manage multiple projects and brands simultaneously, prioritize under tight deadlines, and collaborate across teams
- Data-literate: you can interpret performance metrics and iterate accordingly
